Oman weather: Arabian Sea low pressure to intensify

Muscat: Low pressure forming in the Arabian Sea will intensify into a deep depression in the next 24 hours but will not have an impact on Oman's coast, the Oman meteorology department stated.
“A depression formed will intensify in next 24 hours. However, it will not affect Oman coast,” the Oman meteorology department’s tweet read.
According to Indian meteorology department, the latest observations and satellite images indicate that the well-marked low pressure area over south east Arabian Sea moved westward.
“It is lay centered at 950km East Southeast of Socotra (Yemen) and 1,250km East Southeast of Bereeda (Somalia). The system is very likely to move nearly westwards and is likely to intensify into a deep depression during next 24 hrs,” the IMD says in its advisory.
