Oman, Brazil discuss ways to boost relations

Muscat: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers received, yesterday, Eduardo Bolsonaro, Chairman of Foreign Affairs and National Defence Committee of the Brazilian National Congress’ Chamber of Deputies, who conveyed a verbal message from Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro along with his greetings and wishes to His Majesty the Sultan.

The message dealt with enhancement of bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate and Brazil.

The meeting tackled the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of boosting cooperation horizons between the two countries including the fields of commerce, economy and technology.

The bilateral meeting also reviewed a number of issues of concern in the regional and international arena.



On the other hand, envoy of Brazilian president expressed his country’s appreciation for the constructive role the Sultanate plays in its foreign relations and comprehensive development.

HH Sayyid Fahd asked envoy of the Brazilian president to convey greetings and wishes of His Majesty the Sultan to the Brazilian president and for his country’s people further progress and prosperity.



The meeting was attended by Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura.
