Muscat: Forty six paintings from the ‘Paint for peace’ contest are now on display at an exhibition here and are available for purchase.
The paintings were created by 46 artists in connection with the 46th National Day of Oman.
People can support the cause of peace and charity with every painting they purchase.
Seventy-five per cent of the revenues from each painting goes to Dar Al Atta’a as charity, and the remaining 25 per cent to the artist.
The six winning paintings cost OMR200 each, while the others cost OMR100 each.
The event is supported by both Bhavalaya and the Omani Society for Fine Arts (OSFA), and is being held at OSFA in Shatti Al Qurum, near Hotel Ramada, from 10am to 8pm.
