New Delhi: A Vietnamese Parliamentary delegation led by President of the country's National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on Saturday met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party's vice president Rahul Gandhi to discuss ways to boost Indo-Vietnam ties.
The Vietnamese delegation that met Sonia at her 10, Janpath residence, included member of the National Assembly's (NA) Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA's Committee for Foreign Affairs Nguyen Van Giau, member of NA's Standing Committee Nguyen Hanh Phuc, who is General Secretary of the National Assembly and Chairman of the National Assembly Office, besides Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh.
They also met Rahul and among others present during the meeting were senior Congress leaders Karan Singh and Anand Sharma. They held discussions on ties between India and Vietnam and strengthening them further.
