How your handwriting could be the key to your success

Muscat: A handwriting analyst who is currently visiting Oman has said that the way people shape their alphabets while writing can reveal their personalities and what holds them back from achieving success.

Harshha Arvind Gala, who specialises in the field of handwriting analysis, also known as graphology, is in Oman until December 10, to provide guidance and assistance to children and parents on solving issues they may be facing, simply by changing their handwriting.

“Our handwriting is a manifestation of our inner selves,” she explained. “When we write on paper, we show the world who we truly are, and a trained graphologist can look at that and analyse a person’s character. When I analyse someone, I ask them to first provide me two things: a few lines written by them, and their signature.

“Their handwriting tells me who they are on the inside, while their signature reveals how they want to appear to others,” added Gala. “Of course, you can change your handwriting to impress someone, but when you look at individual letters, you come to find the similarities. We analyse letters, not the words themselves, so we can find out the true nature of the person.”

Having practiced graphology for more than 10 years, and having been training by instructors from both India and the US, Harshha Gala’s abilities have seen her provide handwriting analysis for defendants in court cases, those who are being held in police custody before facing trial, hospital patients, children with disabilities, and many others who have benefited from the changes that have resulted by simply changing their handwriting.

She is in Oman for the next week or so, on the invitation of the Kachchi Wing of the Indian Social Club, to provide a seminar and consultation to those who are interested in graphology.

“Each letter has a different significance in your life,” she explained. “The letter b, for example, can be written in many ways. When it is left open at the bottom, i.e. not closed, this signifies that the person who writes it that way might have blood pressure or a similar condition. Similarly, if the letter ‘y’ is left open, and its bottom loop is not closed, this indicates laziness. If the letter ‘g’ is left open at the bottom, it indicates you have some family problems.

“The letter ‘e’ is related to creativity, so people who have a big loop in their ‘e’ are often creative,” added Gala. “It is a similar case with your signature as that is the public persona you provide. If, for example, the first letter of the signature, that is normally the first letter of your first name, is hidden, or not clearly visible, it means you are trying to hide who you are from the public. Inside, you are someone else, but your image on the outside is different.”

“This is the second time I have come to Oman, thanks to the arrangements made by the Kachchi Wing,” she concluded, “I want to thank everyone involved with the wing who helped me come here, including Avindbhai Toprani, Arvind Sampat, Kiran Asher and Chandrakant Chotwani, who have given me such a nice platform to show my work.”
