Mock drill at Muscat airport to test multi-agency responses and co-ordination

Muscat: Emergency services and airport staff will tackle a mock emergency at Muscat International Airport today, in order to test multi-agency responses and co-ordination.
The real-time ground incident will take place between 5pm and 10pm but airport authorities have assured travellers the airport will still be open and normal service will continue during the mock drill. An Oman airports management statement on the drill reads: “Response teams from various parties including ROP, PACA, PACDA airport security, RAFO Seeb base, AFH, ROP Hospital, government hospitals and Oman Air will test their collective and coordinated response to emergencies, ensuring that any incident is managed effectively and immediately.”
