New roads for tourists in Oman visiting Al Hamra

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport has finished constructing roads in the Al Hamra mountains, including the vital tourist street that extends from the center of Al Hamra to the top of the mountain, Oman News Agency has published.

A statement issued online by ONA, said : “ The mountain range in Al Hamra contains several mountains and valleys, including Jabal Hatt and the visitors to the summit can see some of the landmarks of the welayats of Al Rustaq, Al Hamra, Bahla and Nizwa.”

“Jabal Shams is also located in Al Hamra which is located on the western side and is named so because it is the first place in the region where the sun reaches and is the last place to see the sun every evening. It reaches an altitude of about 3,100 meters above sea level.”
