Conference on Oman’s relations with the countries of the Horn of Africa next month

Muscat: The National Document and Archive Authority (NDAA) will organise on December 6 to 8, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of the Comoros the 5th International Conference on Oman’s Relations with the Countries of the Horn of Africa. The conference will be hosted by the Comorian capital of Moroni under the auspices of Ghazali Othman, President of the Republic of the Comoros.
The conference comes at the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Researchers from 11 countries, including America, Belgium, Russia, Britain, Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania and Yemen, as well as the Sultanate will participate in the conference.
The International Conference highlights the importance of communication between the Sultanate and the countries of the Horn of Africa, including the Comoros, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Mauritius, Djibouti and Somalia, as well as Socotra, in addition to the review of the march of history and culture of Oman and the countries of the Horn of Africa, in the historical, economic, social, cultural and cultural aspects, and highlights the historical roots and references of that development.
The conference will reveal, through 46 working papers in three days, part of the cultural aspects of the Sultanate and its humanitarian role and contribution to human civilization in these areas.
The main committee of the two sides worked to prepare for the holding of this conference to provide all means in order to achieve the desired goals and objectives of this conference, and to confirm the strong relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of the Comoros.
