318 expat workers deported in Oman

Muscat: More than 300 expatriate workers were deported for violating provisions of the Labour Law and the ministerial decisions executing the law.

The Ministry of Manpower’s statistics showed that 318 expatriate workers were deported for violating the Labour Law and other ministerial decisions.
The weekly report of the joint inspection team at the Ministry of Manpower pointed out that the number of workers who violated the Labour Law during November 20 to 26, 2016 stood at 282.
The Governorate of A’Dhakiliyah witnessed the largest number of workers violating the law with 48 followed by the Governorate of Al Buraimi with 47 workers.
The competent authorities at the Ministry of Manpower are taking the legal procedures against them.
