Muscat: The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) affirmed that its fleet taking part in Al Shumoukh 2 and Swift Sword 3 has the military, technical and technological capabilities that qualify it to play its role at the exercises’ general plan and serve the joint military operations.
RNO pointed out that all participating crews, weapons, and maritime equipment continue activating the relevant plans for the maritime areas specified for them at the maritime operations theatre.
RNO noted that it has initiated the procedures for their readiness by transporting the participating commands and maritime teams with their full military equipment, vessels and vehicles. The transportation will be carried out instantaneously with activation of the plans for the deployment of the other commands and field units alongside with the preparations by the Sultan Armed Forces (SAF) and other military, security and civil organisations taking part at the military exercises.
