Oman transport: Ministry meets ferry owners

Muscat: Ferries operating in the Sultanate should comply with the guidelines of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), officials have said.
Senior officials of MOTC held a meeting with ferry owners operating in Masirah Island and Shinas.
The meeting aimed to introduce regulations for crew working on-board small ships, yachts and ferries, as well as enhancing passenger safety.
The meeting, on Saturday, was chaired by Saeed bin Hamdon bin Saif Al-Harthi, Undersecretary of Ports and Maritime Affairs.
