Oman Cricket Salalah League off to a flying start

Muscat: The Oman Cricket Salalah’s inaugural Cricket League got off to a flying start with as many as four matches taking place at Al Saada Sports Complex on Friday.
The opening day of Muscat Pharmacy-Pocari Sweat-sponsored League saw Al Twarja Trading, Lantux, Abu Faris Travels and Tours and Taba Trading and Constructions recording victories.
G.D. Rajput, Treasurer, School Management Committee of Indian School Salalah, and Oman Cricket Salalah committee members Narender Mudaliar and John Rajamoney handed over the man of the match trophies.
Al Bayan provided the water, Pocari Sweat provided energy drinks and Chickoo Sweets provided the snacks for the players.

Brief scores:
Gulf Foundation 145 for 5 in 20 overs lost to Al Twarja Trading 146 for 5 in 18 overs. Man of the match: Asif Ali (55 runs, 3 wickets).
Creative Engineering 139 in 20 overs lost to Lantux 140 for 2 in 18 overs 140 for 2 in 18 overs. Man of the match: Mithun (27 runs, 3 wickets).
Abu Faris Travels and Tours 120 for 9 in 20 overs bt United Professional 83 in 14 overs. Man of the match: Kausar Hameed (12 runs, 4 wickets).
Taba Trading and Constructions 144 for 8 in 20 overs bt Al Mamoorah Land Enterprises 122 in 18.4 overs. Man of the match: Numan (69 runs, 1 wicket).
