Tropical Storm Luban's effects to be felt from Wednesday

Muscat: Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates are expected to start being affected by tropical storm Luban from Wednesday, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation said on Monday.
PACA's report said, "The latest weather maps and analysis of the National Center for Multi-Hazard Early Warning indicate the concentration of the tropical storm Luban in the middle of the Arabian Sea. The wind speed around the centre is estimated at 35-40 knots/64-74 kmph and is about 940 km away from Salalah."

The tropical storm continues to move west by northwest. Forecasts indicate that Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates are likely to be affected by indirect impacts from Wednesday, October 10, 2018, with scattered rain and sea waves rising between 2-3 m."
PACA added: "Meteorologists continue to analyse and follow-up the latest developments around the clock. The Civil Aviation Authority calls for the follow-up of weather reports and reports on the evolution of the meteorological situation."
