Health Ministry announces service fees for expats in Oman

Muscat: For expats who are working in the health sector, the Ministry of Health has issued a decision determining fees for services provided, including renewal of license to practise medicine and dentistry.

Article 1 of the decision reads: “The fees shown in the attached table shall be added to the Schedule of Service Fees provided by the Ministry of Health in Ministerial Decision No. 239/2018."

"Renewing the license to practice medicine and dentistry will cost OMR100 for non-Omanis and OMR50 for Omanis. The fee for the renewal of a license to practice medical auxiliary professions is OMR50 for expats and OMR30 for Omanis and to renew the license of a doctor from the government sector to work in private health institutions part-time will cost OMR100."

The new law also lists fees for many other services provided by the Ministry. A fee of OMR200 for issuing or renewing a license for a glasses shop in Muscat Governorate, OMR3000 for the renewal of the license of a private hospital in Muscat Governorate and OMR500 for the renewal of the license of a private clinic.
