Oman, China to boost ties with CPPCC chairman visit

Muscat: A top Chinese official is arriving today on an official visit to the Sultanate in response to an invite extended by Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, State Council Chairman.
Wang Yang, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and his delegation, will be received at Muscat International Airport by Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, State Council Chairman, Dr. Khalid bin Salem Al Saidi, Secretary General of the Council, Salim bin Mohammed Al Rayami, State Council Member and Li Lingbing, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Sultanate.
The visit aims to enhance the development of existing relations between the two friendly countries and strengthen cooperation between the State Council and the Chinese People’s Consultative Council.
The itinerary of the visit includes talks with the State Council, meetings with a number of officials, as well as meetings with representatives of Chinese companies and the Chinese community working in the Sultanate.
