Weather update: PACA issues thunderstorm warning for parts of Oman

Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has called for residents of the Sultanate to take caution while venturing out of their homes and has advised against taking the risk of crossing valleys while water is flowing.

In a statement, PACA said, "During the next few hours, the deep air depression Haya, will be accompanied by heavy thunderstorms and possible continued rainfall in North Al Batinah governorate. There could also be active winds and hail falling with water flow in some valleys, low horizontal visibility and rising sea waves."
