Weather update: Cyclone Maha weakens

Muscat: Maha has weakened to a tropical storm and is moving eastward towards the Indian coast, Oman’s Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) informed on Wednesday.

In a statement online, PACA said: "The latest satellite images and centre analysis indicate that Maha has weakened to a Tropical Storm with estimated wind speed ranges between 55 and 60 knots. It will continue moving eastward toward Indian coasts and it is now located 920 km from (Ras Madrakah)."
