Two Omani students win gold for best project

Muscat: Two Omani students, who presented a project at a conference with 700 participants from 40 countries have won a gold medal. The medal was presented at The International Trade Fair - Ideas, Inventions and New Products (IENA 2019), Germany.

Tasnim and Salma won the gold medal for creating clay oil extracted from the dates kernel in the category of best youth inventions.

Announcing the win, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in an online statement, "We congratulate the inventors Tasnim Al Daoudia and Salma Al-Sudairia for their gold medal with honours as the best project in the field of youth inventions in the world at the International Exhibition of Innovations in Germany. The name of the invention is Production of clay oil extracted from date kernel."
