Al Mawali re-elected as Majlis Al Shura chairman

Muscat: Khalid Al Mawali has been re-elected as the chairman of Shura Council for the third consecutive term on Sunday.

In an extraordinary session held at the Majlis Al Shura headquarters, Al Mawali secured 47 out of 86 votes. Apart from Al Mawali, six other candidates competed for the chairman’s post. Those candidates were: Hassan Saeed Kashoob, Yaqoob Al Harthi, Rashid Al Shamsi, Sulaim Al Hakmani, Hilal Al Sarmi and Yaqoob Al Rahbi.
