Muscat: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council arrived in Morocco yesterday.
The State Council chairman is leading the Sultanate’s delegation to the 22nd Conference of the Parties (COP 22) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change scheduled in Marrakesh on Tuesday. Dr. Al Mantheri and his accompanying delegation were received upon their arrival at the airport by Rachid bin Mokhtar, Minister of National Education and Vocational Training and Moroccan officials. Dr. Al Mantheri was seen off by Dr. Su’ad bint Mohammed bin Ali Suleiman Al Lawattiyah, deputy chairman of the State Council, Khamis bin Said bin Saif Al Sulaimi, Eng. Khalfan bin Saleh bin Nasser Al Na’abi and Tariq Al Hasisin, accredited envoy of Morocco.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Mantheri will be accompanied by Mohammed bin Salim Al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs.
