Fire in Sahibabad factory, 12 killed

Ghaziabad:Twelve people were on Friday killed in a massive fire that broke out in a garment factory in Sahibabad in the district. Fire Station Officer Abul Abbas Hussain said the fire was reported at 5:20am and fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Fire officials said 12 people were killed in the mishap while several others were injured. Further details were awaited.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi condoled the loss of lives in the fire tragedy.
"Very sad to learn that a fire in a garment factory in Sahibabad has claimed many lives. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families", he tweeted.
