Oman Broadband Company premises opened at Knowledge Oasis Muscat

Muscat: Oman Broadband Company yesterday celebrated the opening of its premises at Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salim Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications.
Eng. Said bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Mantheri, CEO of the Company said that the number of users of the company network during the first ten months of the year stood at about 11,000, which is a great achievement by the company and its partners in the sector.
As for the third operator in the Sultanate, he said that having a broadband network is a good incentive for a third operation because the network is open for any operation and therefore the competition will be enhanced.
The ceremony included presentations on the company’s services and projects at the different governorates.
The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin As’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Dr. Hamad bin Salim Al Rowahi , CEO of TRA, as well as a number of communication operators and experts.
