Oman crime: Police foil attempt to smuggle crystal meth

Muscat: A national was arrested for attempting to smuggle crystal methamphetamine (meth) through Muscat International Airport.
The Directorate General of Narcotics Control arrested an Omani national for attempting to smuggle crystal meth by hiding it in an electronic device while passing through Muscat International Airport.
In a similar case, the Department of Narcotics Control in North Al Batinah Royal Oman Police arrested an Asian for possession of psychotropic tablets, chewing tobacco (Afzal) and counterfeit cigarettes.
A senior official at the ROP said, “When we raided the house in Shinas, we arrested the four expatriates who were also violating the labor law.”
