Muscat: The Oman Olympic Academy (OOA) has launched a training course for the rehabilitation of disabled in sports institutions.

The course, which will continue until Tuesday, sheds light on the challenges faced by sports institutions in integrating disabled by providing them with means to achieve theie objectives.

Al Saadi bin Mohammed Al-Hishri, a senior professor of physical education at the Association of Early Intervention gave a lecture on the course. A number of directors and administrators of sports complexes and sports institutions will be trained under the programme.

In addition to the tools and means that should be provided to these institutions according to international standards, and scientific methods to integrate them into sporting arena, as well as to remove the obstacles being faced by disabled.
