Muscat: Citizens and residents in Oman can expect two extended weekends this November.
They will be able to enjoy the extra days off over the occasion of the National Day celebrations — which falls on November 18 and 19, 2019 — and the Prophet's (PBUH) birthday on the 12th of Rabi Al Awal.
Though the actual dates of the holidays are yet to be announced, the date of the Prophet's birthday is determined by the Lunar calendar.
According to the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs calendar, the tentative date for the Prophet’s birthday is Saturday, November 9, 2019.
So there are chances that November 10, 2019 could be a public holiday.
The two National Day holidays are likely to fall in the second half of November and are generally clubbed with the weekend.
