Muscat: Zeeshan Siddiqui’s unbeaten half-century guided Oman to a convincing victory over Italy at Wong Cricket Field.
Asked to bat, Italy put on 205 for 9 from 50 overs in the face of a quality bowling effort from Oman. Damian Crowley (54 from 95 balls) and Fida Hussain (51 not out from 41 balls) were the biggest contributors for Italy.
In response, Oman lost Zeeshan Maqsood off the second delivery of the innings, but a sturdy performance there on ensured a simple victory. Siddiqui was at the forefront of this performance with his 71-ball 54 with five fours.
