A salary of over OMR 2000 in the private sector is a rare find.
The National Center of Statistics and Information revealed that around 11,132 workers in the private sector, out of a total of 252,132 got more than OMR 2000 in 2018.
The data, which also divided the workers by gender, showed that 10,211 males got wages of around OMR 2000 while 1,414 females made the same amount of wages.
25,866 Omanis got wages between OMR 1,000 to 1,999 while more than 78,000 people earned a salary between OMR 325 to 399.
