Oman Shipping inducts new vessel

Muscat: Oman Shipping Company (OSC) has received a new Mid-Range tanker ‘Sadah Silver’, the ninth tanker within the ‘Silver’ project, which is implemented by the company with Shell International to build 10 medium-range tankers to transport liquid cargos. The tanker was built in the shipyard of Hyundai Mipo, South Korea. The tanker has load capacity of the 50,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT).
Joining of ‘Sadah Silver’ has raised OSC’s fleet to 51 tankers of different size and purposes and the total payload exceeding 8 million DWT. Oman Ship Management Company the operational arm of OSC will technically manage the new tanker which will raise the managed vessels by OSMC to 38 different vessels.
It is worth mentioning that Oman Ship Management has won “The Ship Manager of the Year Award” within (The Maritime Standard Awards Ceremony 2016), that was held current month in Dubai and considered one of the most prestigious shipping awards in the Middle East.
