Muscat: Eight expats were arrested on charges of smuggling diesel, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.
The Musandam Coastguard seized two boats that were attempting to smuggle diesel.
In an online statement, ROP said: "Musandam Coast Guard police boats seized two diesel smuggling boats near Khasab, carrying eight expats, and the individuals were arrested on charges of diesel smuggling."
The authorities said that legal action is being taken against the accused.
