Muscat: A Police helicopter managed to rescue an injured person trapped in a rugged mountainous area in wilayat Izki in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. He was transferred to Nizwa Hospital for treatment.
The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA), in a statement said, "In relation to reports of the fall of a person from the top of Mount Halfin in wilayat Izki, we report that the rescue teams were able to reach him and provide emergency medical care. They evacuated him to the location of a police helicopter to further take him to the hospital. The man is in critical condition."
