Weather update: Parts of Oman to receive torrential rainfall

Muscat: More rain associated with thunderstorms expected on Tuesday over the Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining wilayats, according to the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA).

On Monday, a number of villages in Wilayats of Ibri, Dhank, Yanqul, Al Buraimi, Mahdha, Al Sunainah, Al Kamil and Al Wafi, Al Rustaq, Al Awabi, Wadi Al Ma'awal, Ibra, Al Qabil, Al Mudhaibi, Nizwa, Izki, Dibba, Madha, Bahla and Al-Hamraa, received heavy rainfall.

Tuesday's weather forecast is clear to partly cloudy skies along the Sultanate’s coastal areas.

In the weather report, PACA said: “There are chances of isolated rain with mainly clear skies over rest of the Sultanate with a chance of convective cloud development and isolated rain occasionally thunderstorms over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining wilayats during the afternoon."
