Muscat: Comedy lovers in Oman need to keep October 17 free to attend Lebanese-American comedian Nemr’s show at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Qurum.
Nemr, who will be coming to Oman as part of a tour of the GCC countries, will be performing in Dubai (12 October) and Kuwait City (15 October), before resuming his performances in the United States.
The show is being hosted in collaboration with Omani SME - Humor Infection, who are bringing Nemr to Oman, with the gates for the event at Crowne Plaza Qurum opening at 8.15 pm on the 17 October. Nemr’s arrival in Oman is part of his ‘The Future is Now Tour’.
Nemr’s performances in the Middle East will see him take a break from his schedule in the States, where he last performed in Washington DC on 5 October, and San Francisco on 9 October. Following his performances in the three GCC venues, including Muscat, he will fly back to the States.
Nemr had previously performed in Muscat, as part of his 2016 tour, when he came to the Sultanate on 14 April. He has regularly performed in the GCC and wider Middle East: In 2018, he had shows in Dubai, Doha and Beirut, while in 2017, he performed in Kuwait City, with additional shows in the Saudi Arabian cities of Jeddah and Riyadh. In 2016, he also visited Dubai, Doha, Beirut and the Jordanian capital of Amman

Nemr is a Lebanese-American stand-up comedian who is credited with establishing and pioneering the stand-up comedy scene throughout the Middle East where he performs in English. Nemr grew up in San Diego and then moved back with his family to Lebanon. He has gone on to break down barriers and unite people.
Nemr’s latest tour was an unprecedented success, selling-out across the globe from every major city in the US to London and across the Middle East.
His international tour became the first global comedy event to successfully stretch from the US to the Middle East, with crowds of up to 5,000 people at every show.
