29 people have died from the seasonal flu in Oman between July 2018 and June 2019.
"It should be noted that the statistics for the last season of the flu, which began in July 2018 and lasted until September 2019, has shown that there were 2726 cases of the seasonal flu, leading to 29 deaths." – Ministry of Health
According to the ministry, 291 people got the seasonal flu in the last three months, which is much lower than the 2018 figure which stood at 992.
The ministry also said that Oman has cases of the seasonal flu all year round because of its geographic position with the most active period of the flu in December.
