Al Nassir ship joins Royal Navy of Oman fleet

Al Musannah: At a function the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) celebrated the arrival of "Al Nassir" ship yesterday. The function was held under the patronage of Maj.Gen Amer bin Salim Al Amri, Commander of the Sultan's Special Force (SSF). Present at the ceremony were commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF), military and security units, RNO senior officers and personnel.
The ceremony, which was held at Said Bin Sultan Naval Base, began with the playing of Anthem of Honour to the chief guest.
Then, the chief guest inspected the front column of the Guards of Honour. He also gave good service and conduct medals to some RNO personnel.
After that, the ship "Al Nassir" anchored at the wharf designated at the base. The commander of the ship then invited the chief guest to board the ship.
He was briefed about the ship during which heviewed its facilities and divisions that are provided with latest advanced marine equipment to enable the ship meet needs of the RNO's national duty.
The ship will enhance operational capacity and support projects of comprehensive national development.
