Muscat: British School Muscat (BSM) has invited prospective students and parents to experience how lessons are delivered, meet the teachers and explore its new state-of-the-art facilities on October 25.
BSM’s “Open Morning” event will give future parents and their children a chance to see the school’s inspiring new facilities, meet its teachers and pupils, and find out more about its curriculum, which gives pupils access to the top universities around the world.
The school is nearing completion of the first phase of redevelopment, and by summer 2017, they will have a new sixth form block, two additional sports halls, three new swimming pools, 12 more classrooms and a dining hall. This is in addition to the 10 new science labs and a new all-weather pitch completed earlier this year.
The redevelopment of BSM’s campus has enabled the school to offer world-class teaching, leading to record GCSE results in 2016, which placed them in the top five British international schools in the Middle East and top 5 per cent of the United Kingdom’s independent and state schools.
BSM Principal Kai Vacher said, “We look forward to giving a warm welcome to all families in the wider community, who are interested in how our newly-developed campus is helping to expand our curriculum—as we become one of the world’s leading British international schools.
“We are proud of the supportive community we’ve built at BSM; our pupils not only achieve outstanding academic results, but they are also creative thinkers, resilient learners and respectful contributors—ready to make the most of opportunities and face the challenges of our modern world.”
