Muscat: As part of its concerted efforts to develop the national workforce in Oman, Mazoon Electricity Company, the leading electricity provider in Oman, has reached a major milestone of more than 98 per cent Omanisation within the company.

Continuing with its Omanisation plan as part of its primary strategy, Mazoon Electricity intends to fill in more than 45 vacancies with Omanis in 2019. The Company, which has almost 530 employees in its payroll, constantly encourages its contractors to hire Omani talents and provide them with proper training and incentives to enhance job stability.

Commenting on this achievement, Salim Said Al Kamyani, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Mazoon Electricity said, “We are committed to hiring and developing local talents to help achieve our vision of creating an outstanding electricity distribution and supply company. This is in line with the directive of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said to support Omani human resources and enable them to contribute to the overall national development.”

He added, “Mazoon Electricity service area covers almost 45% of total Oman. The nature of work at the company is technical and challenging and we are proud to state that our national workforce delivers high-quality and results-driven performance. We are committed to making significant, on-going investment in developing highly qualified personnel at the organisation.”



By according priority to nationals when it comes to job opportunities, increasing skill levels and career development, Mazoon Electricity constantly provides on-job training and knowledge transfer to Omani staff.
