His Majesty Sultan Qaboos issues two Royal Decrees

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said yesterday issued two Royal Decrees as follows:
Royal Decree No. 46/2016 on ratifying the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and North Ireland on Cooperation in the Field of Defence, signed in 1994, and on amending Annexes (A) and Annex (B), attached to this MoU and signed on the 17th of May 2016.
Article (1) ratifies the above-mentioned Memorandum of Understanding and the aforementioned amendment.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. 47/2016 introduces amendments to some provisions of the Marine Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. 35/81.
Article (1) states that amendments attached to this decree shall apply to the above-mentioned Marine Law.
Article (2) cancels all that contradicts the attached amendments or contravenes their provisions.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on the day following its date of publishing.
