Muscat: Oman’s Public Authority for Consumer Protection has received over 58,000 complaints ever since it started operating.
As per reports by the Directorate General for Research and Development, the complains are from across the country and are structured in twenty different sectors, which consist of automobile dealership, vehicle repair workshop, phone and service, aluminium workshop, electrical appliances sector, construction materials, labour services and furnishings sector, among others.
Figures also show that the PACP received almost 14,000 complaints in 2014, with numbers falling to around 12,800 in 2015.
