Oman transport: Municipality announces partial opening of Muscat airport flyover

Muscat: Part of the airport flyover is now open and ready for use, announced the Muscat Municipality on its Twitter account.
The road is open for drivers arriving from the Seeb and Muscat International Airport flyover heading towards the Exhibition Road.
The path towards the Muscat Expressway will remain closed.
The project, which began on July 27 this year, will link the flyover from the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque Street to the Muscat International Airport, as well as expand the Airport Heights Road, with the project expected to end in four months from the time it started.
Currently, the Al Arfan roundabout is partially closed for those who are planning to drive to the Muscat Expressway and authorities suggest that an alternative route should be taken.
Those who wish to go to the Muscat Expressway from Seeb can enter the road via Burj Sahwa in Mawaleh, while passing Muaskar Murtafa’a as other routes leading to the expressway are closed due to the ongoing construction work.
