Leadership lessons for Omani Women’s Day

Muscat: Omani Women’s Day is being celebrated early this year with a workshop focused on female leadership.
The Ministry of Social Development and the Crowe Horwath auditing company will hold a Women Leadership Seminar on Tuesday with the spotlight on Omani women excelling in the workforce.
The seminar, which will take place at the Al Bustan Palace, will cover a variety of topics concerning the role of women in the professional and business world.
Encouraging participation
The objective of the programme is to encourage a higher participation of Omani women in pursuing professional careers, enhance the performance of women in different roles, especially managerial and leadership positions, and thereby make a significant contribution to the nation.
The one-day event includes a powerful training session by an internationally acclaimed, women-leadership trainer and coach Dr. Bernice Ledbetter, director of the Centre for Women in Leadership at Pepperdine University, United States.
Besides the experience-sharing sessions, programme topics will include how to cross the confidence gap, develop a leader’s identity and discovering leadership wisdom.
