Football's coming home: English Premier League trophy to visit Oman

Muscat: The world-famous English Premier League trophy is coming to Muscat, according to the British Embassy in Oman.
"The @premierleague trophy is coming to Muscat, in conjunction with British Council & @OmanFA," the embassy tweeted. The trophy will arrive in Oman on Friday and leave on Monday.
Another tweet on the Oman Football Association's (OFA) official account said, "The English Premier League Cup will arrive in Oman on Friday in conjunction with the British Football Association's Premier Skills Program and in cooperation with the Omani Football Federation."
The trophy, the statement concluded, will be at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher on October 5 and 6.
The Premier League trophy is being brought to Oman as part of Premier Skills, a joint programme organised by the British Council and the Premier League that uses football to develop a brighter future for young people around the world. The programme currently operates in 19 countries across Asia, Africa and the Americas from Afghanistan to Zambia.
A bespoke Premier Skills workshop will be delivered to a group of young Omani coaches in coordination with the Oman Football Association over the weekend.
