SalamAir adds new destination to roster

Muscat: As part of its plans to expand its regional network, SalamAir has announced direct flights between Muscat and Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE.

With the addition of a new destination, a boost is expected for both tourism and business between the two countries.

Abu Dhabi will become the sixth destination for SalamAir in the GCC, joining direct flights to Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh and Kuwait City, as well as the recent direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Salalah.

As of 10 September, 2019, SalamAir will begin operating four flights a week to Abu Dhabi from Muscat.

The inaugural flight will depart from Muscat at 9.20 am on Tuesday and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 10.20 am, while the return flight will depart at 11.05 am and will reach Muscat at 12.05 pm. On the 11th, the flight will depart Muscat at 5.55 pm and will arrive in Abu Dhabi at 6.55 pm, while the return flight will depart Abu Dhabi at 7.35 pm and arrive Muscat at 8.35 pm.

According to a SalamAir official, the flight can accommodate roughly 170-175 passengers.
