Cairo: The Sultanate took part in the Arab League Council meeting organised at the request of Kuwait to discuss the deteriorating humanitarian situations in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
Dr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Issa’ee, Sultanate’s Ambassador to Egypt, and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League, represented the country during the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by the Tunisian Republic.
The extraordinary meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of the permanent delegates was organised at the headquarters of the Arab League
yesterday.
The meeting discussed deteriorating situations in the Syrian city of Aleppo as a result of the aerial bombardment, explosion of bombs and the siege of civilians by the warring factions.
The participants appealed to the international community and humanitarian organisations to provide help to the people of Aleppo.
