#OmanPride: Oman Air, local hotels shine at travel awards

Muscat: National carrier of Oman and hotels based in Oman were proud winners at the World Travel Awards Middle East 2016.
Oman Air was named ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline, Business Class’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline, Economy Class’ at the World Travel Awards Middle East 2016.
The airline’s Chief Executive Officer Paul Gregorowitsch, said: “Oman Air is delighted to accept these prestigious awards, in recognition of the high quality of our Business Class and Economy Class services. This is the fourth consecutive year that Oman Air has been named as ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline, Business Class’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline, Economy Class’ at the World Travel Awards Middle East. Such consistent acclaim demonstrates that Oman Air’s commitment to offering customers the very best in 21st century air travel remains absolute.”
From Oman, the Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, bagged the award for Oman's Leading Hotel and Oman's Leading Hotel Suite at a ceremony, which was held in Dubai.
Speaking to the Times of Oman, Katrin Herz, general manager, Al Bustan Palace, said: “We are thrilled to be awarded this year again with such a prestigious award, from among other leading hotels in Oman. We continue to deliver the best Omani hospitality combined with Ritz-Carlton services to our valued guests, and showcase the true Omani art of hospitality at our beachfront resort.”
The other hotels from Oman which won awards included the Salalah Rotana Resort as Oman's Leading Beach Resort, Millennium Executive Apartments Muscat as Oman's Leading Hotel Residences, Beit Musandam, the Private Reserve, Six Senses Zighy Bay as Oman's Leading Luxury Hotel Villa, Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah as Oman's Leading Resort and Kingdom Travel and Tourism as Oman’s Leading Travel Agency.
