Muscat: Motorists on the roads have been advised to drive cautiously by Royal Oman Police (ROP) following the rain in Muscat.

Rain fell in Quriyat and different parts of Muscat in the afternoon, residents reported.
“It was raining in Quriyat. We had to slow down our vehicles. Roads were slippery,” Premjith Nair, a business executive in Muscat, told Times of Oman.

Residents in old Muscat and Barr Al Jissah area also reported that there light rain fell in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, since afternoon, skies over Muscat remained cloudy.
Oman meteorology had forecast isolated rain and occasionally thundershowers over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining wilayat towards afternoon which may extend to coastal areas of Oman Sea today and Tuesday too.
For two consecutive days, wadis in Rustaq, some 132 kilometres from Muscat, were overflowing due to heavy rain.
