Teachers who allowed mass cheating at school fined, jailed

Teachers at a school, who allowed students to cheat on their finals for their diplomas, have been fined and jailed.
According to a statement by the Public Prosecution, upto 45 students of Grade 12 have been accused of copying answers in their English finals.
The court has imposed a fine of OMR500 and jailed the invigilators for one year for violating their duties.
Oman’s Education Ministry has also ordered the students to retake the exam.
