Muscat: Oman will soon have its first target shooting range for gun enthusiasts and will also serve as a training ground.
The Oman Authority for Partnership for Development (OAPD) concluded their second meeting for this year to establish ‘The Center for Shooting and Training’ where plans to begin establishing the center is set for the beginning of 2017 at the Oman Automobile Association.
The center serves as a safe and closed location specialized in teaching and training shooting by using advance weaponry such as lasers.
The center will include basic programmes as well as intermediate level courses where trainees will be using laser weapons. Advanced programs will enable trainees to use live weapons and targets to practice on.
Suggestions on the layout will include three areas for shooting. The first will be a 25m long alley with eight lanes which will be used for laser and live weapon target practice.
