Oman hosted more than 3 million tourists in 2018

Muscat: More than three million tourists visited the Sultanate last year, the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) said.

In a statement online, the center said: "3.2 million tourists visited the Sultanate in 2018. Total tourist spending reached OMR 679 million with an average of OMR 209 spent per tourist."

According to the NCSI annual report, the number of inbound visitors to the Sultanate witnessed an increase of 32 percent in 2018 over the previous year. In 2017, 3.1 million tourists visited Oman.
