Diam’s e-service sees rise in number of users

Muscat: The number of registered users of the Public Authority for Electricity and Water’s electronic service — e-Diam — rose to 12,451, since the launch of the green bill campaign.
A month after the launch of the campaign, the number of registered users on the electronic portal has significantly increased. A total of 12,451 people registered in the first three weeks of launching the service, in comparison to the 6,289 users prior to the launch.
The campaign launched by Diam to introduce its e-services under the name of "Khali Fatourtak Khathra", aims to increase the number of registrants and beneficiaries of e-Diam.
The portal includes the provision of basic services, including the issuance and updating of invoices, statements of accuracy of each account in the account of the subscriber in terms of payments or billing or settlement. In addition to that, each subscriber has a special account in the portal so that they can obtain information related to the water service and can also submit a complaint or communicate through it.
In a statement online, said, "On the sidelines of the campaign, the public awareness of the electronic services system will be enhanced and the Quick Service Corner will be inaugurated in the main hall customer services at Bausher where visitors and subscribers will be greeted and provided with quick services including the introduction of the portal."
