Muscat : His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign , affirmed that the state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik to Brunei Darussalam, the first by an Omani Sultan, embodies the special relationship between the two countries' presidents and the strength of the friendship and mutual trust between the two friendly peoples.
His Excellency added that the visit reflects the shared commitment to launching a new phase of cooperation and partnership, building upon the achievements of past decades, to bring further mutual benefits and deepen common interests.
His Excellency indicated that economic, investment, and trade sectors, along with energy, tourism, education, and culture, will be at the forefront of cooperation priorities in the coming phase, leveraging the available resources on both sides and capitalizing on technological advancements and artificial intelligence.
His Excellency emphasized the convergence of views between the Sultanate of Oman and Brunei Darussalam regarding support for dialogue and international cooperation, and the importance of continuing consultations and coordination on issues of common interest, which contributes to enhancing security and stability.
He expressed his confidence that the visit's outcomes will give bilateral relations new momentum and open broader horizons for cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
